Overview
I enjoyed the tour round this beautiful Essex Wildlife Trust reserve, with its varied habitats. The highlight for me was the birdsong, especially the nightingales and the lambs you can see from the visitor centre were very cute!
Transport & Parking
There is a small patch of rather rough ground next to the visitor centre which is labelled for disabled parking.
Access
There is a slope to the centre, the fairly heavy door opens outwards and is not automatic.
Toilets
Fairly standard accessible toilets, clean and well-maintained if a little small.
Staff
Staff were all polite friendly and helpful, careful to suggest routes which were accessible and pointing out possible hazards.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
It is hoped that badger watching will be offered soon. This will be from a hide which is smallish, but accessible. It should be well worth the drive down the unlit country road to get to the reserve.
