Disabled toilet lets this restaurant down

Overview
A restaurant right in heart of Edinburgh City Centre. We went on a beautiful sunny day during the Edinburgh Festival so the Royal Mile was buzzing with excitement with thousands of people watching random performances up and down the street which gives a wonderful atmosphere. We were a bit disappointed that the tables outside the restaurant were full but we only had a 5 minute wait for a table inside. The aisle is a little tight for a wheelchair nut we did get a table which was suitable for a wheelchair user. The meal was very good at reasonably priced. However the only thing that let it down was the disabled toilet. There was a designated one but the door opens in making it impossible for a wheelchair to go in AND close the door!!! Had the door opened outwards it would be have been adequate. This is the only reason for the 2 star rating otherwise it would have been a 3.5
Transport & Parking
It is in a pedestrianised thoroughfare however there are some but not many disabled parking bays within 50 - 100metres. The pavement is easier to move on than the cobbled street although during the festival it is difficult anywhere her on the street because of the criwds
Access
Straight in from the street with no steps. Main waiting area for a table is up a couple of steps however there is a small area to stay without having to go up the steps. The bar is in the waiting area but staff will bring a drink to anyone having to wait in the lower area.
Toilets
The door opens inwards so you can't close the door if you enter in a wheechair.
Staff
Very helpful. Made sure we had a table that was the right height for a wheelchair user.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Would recommend it for people who are disabled except for those in a wheelchair or mobility scooter
