Overview
Tried to get into Farmfoods at Summerhill Shopping Arcade but couldn't as big step entrance. There is an assistance Bell but no-one answered it. I had to ask a member of public to get a staff member who told me I had to go down through an alley round to delivery entrance. As I went down through the alley I had a couple of 13 year old boys try jump on my Powerchair abd then threw stones at me and called me some nasty names. I was really scared and felt quite vulnerable which is something I never feel. Going through delivery entrance was tricky as had to manoeuvre around stock. Inside the shop you can get around but be prepared for people trying to squeeze past you. The staff were really nice and told me that they constantly have problems with the two boys as always giving staff abuse and stealing from the shop. When I got out of the shop I couldn't get through the alley as someone had locked the gates. Luckily there was another way to get to the route I wanted which is actually a short cut but if I had went in my car I would have had to go on that path and go back around to the arcade. All the shops at this arcade have steps into them. I will never be back there
Transport & Parking
Car park is full of pot holes. No disabled parking
Access
Path up to shops is cracked with holes. Wheelchairs with castor wheels would have problems. Ramp up to shops is difficult to find. The delivery entrance area that we have to use to get into Farmfoods is also full of pot holes
Toilets
None
Staff
The staff were very helpful and apologetic. They actually encouraged me to name and shame as they feel that something needs to be done in the area. It was them that told me how old the 2 boys are
