Good station for travelling to Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Overview
Falkirk High Station is on the main line between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh Waverley with trains running every 15 or 20 minutes. The station's access is good at platform one for Edinburgh, but less so at platform two which services trains travelling to Glasgow.
Transport & Parking
The main car park for this station is ticketed and has around four accessible parking spaces near the station entrance. This car park is generally only of use if you are using platform one however as the step-free access to platform two is best accessed from a second free car park at a lower level in the hill on Drossie Road. Because it's free the second small car park fills up very quickly with savvy early morning commuters, but there are a few accessible parking bays which may be available. There is a well serviced taxi rank directly outside the station and one bus stop.
Access
Access to platform one is step-free and level. The main entrance to the ticket office is ramped and has a wide door with a push pad. The waiting room isn't huge, but there aren't many seats which makes it feel a bit more spacious. Access to platform two is a bit of a hassle if you need step-free access. There is step-free access from the free car park at Drossie Road which takes you through a damp tunnel beneath the railway line. There is a small uphill incline to the platform, but watch out for large puddles at the bottom if it's been raining. There are frequent, loud announcements at Falkirk High to signal approaching trains.
Toilets
There is a large accessible toilet within the station which I believe you have to ask a key for at the desk. It is only on platform one however!
Staff
If there's one thing I've noticed at this station compared to others is that the staff are exceptionally friendly! There are no ticket barriers, but staff do collect tickets as you depart the station during peak times - they are always chatty, polite and very helpful. It is no problem to get a ramp set up to access a train.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The trains here are very frequent, so there's usually no need to rush. This line does get very busy during peak commuter hours however, so it's best to avoid these times when possible. The stars are mainly dropped for the difference in access between the two platforms, but it is manageable if you know where to go!
