Overview
Fairlie is a small unmanned station. There is quite a steep hill to get up to the station but this levels out quite quickly. The rest of the station is on the flat. The car park is slightly uneven due to drainage channels in the ground. There are also a few pot holes in the car park. There is disabled parking available and this leads on to a level platform. As Fairlie is unmanned it is advisable to request passenger assistance in advance. The on train staff will help you on and off the train with ramps
Transport & Parking
The station is quite easy to access by car or on foot. There is plenty of disabled parking available in the station car park.
Access
The main station is mainly all on the level. The approach to the station is on a hill but this levels off quite quickly There is a help point available on the platform where you can contact Glasgow Central if you are in difficulties. There is also a shelter on the platform. I would advise phoning passenger assistance in advance. It is difficult to get assistance otherwise. The telephone number for passenger assistance is 0800 912 2901.
Toilets
There are no toilets available at Fairlie Station
Staff
On Train staff are generally very helpful and friendly.
