Overview
Great access however the exhibitions are only in Spanish and Basque with a few cards in English and French giving you the gist of each gallery space. If you don't speak Spanish or Basque you will not as much out of this museum but you can figure out most of it and it is still worth a look as there are some interesting bits. It doesn't cost much to enter (and is free for disabled people and their companions) or long to see everything. Each floor is accessible via lift and ramps are placed throughout the 17th century stone building. Ramps here are often very steep due to available space so if you struggle with steep ramps or tiredness bring a companion. The website says the should be touch screens for the visually impaired however during my visit none of these appeared to be working, one presumes they would once again only be in Spanish and Basque.
Transport & Parking
We arrived by Metro, the stop is a street away. The Metro in Bilbao is fully accessible with lifts to every station however signage to the stations was not always the best. I did find that the large gap between the metro train and the platform meant that I required a companion to help me on and off the train though so I would not be able to use it independently personally.
Access
Steep ramps but everywhere was accessible.
Toilets
Toilets seemed to be available on nearly every floor.
Staff
The lady on the desk was very helpful.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The museum would be greatly improved with the addition of more languages on the displays for tourists.
