Overview
I loved this museum and wish I could've stayed longer. Very informative, accessible for myself and well laid out. My ticket was about 15 euros.
Transport & Parking
I came to the Docklands by the LUAS tram system (Red Line). I am unsure about parking and buses. The city centre is about ten minutes stroll across the Liffey there are loads more transport options.
Access
Signage is very clear. I came through the side where the gift shop is and found the ticket desk. People were already queueing up before opening time! From there you pay and get a "passport" which you can stamp throughout the museum and "emigration process". The lift takes you underground and then the museum is laid out like a journey and each room is numbered. Some rooms have louder music than others, darker lighting etc.
Toilets
There are accessible toilets throughout the museum (in every 5th room maybe) as well as at the start and end. I went into two and they were the same layout. Enough turning space for a wheelchair and companion. No need for key or swipe card access etc.
Staff
Very nice and helpful if you have any questions.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
They accept the Dublin PASS card that gets you into a number of attractions around the city. Carers are admitted free of charge!
