Overview
This was the first time I had seen Test cricket outside Nottingham - and maybe we've been spoiled by the superb ammenities at Trent Bridge but one can see why Durham is losing its Test status.
Transport & Parking
This was the best bit of the whole experience; dedicated car parking with plenty of steward assistance. Well regimented and organised - a short walk to the ground to be undertaken.
Access
Once inside the ground, it is another walk (over tv cables - not good!) to the actual seat, tacked on to the end of a row with no cover (and once you were in your seat, it was inadvisable to move.
Toilets
Shocking! There were two disabled loos in the whole ground but getting to them was not easy.
Staff
I don't know but I suspect that all the 'staff' (turnstiles, car park) were from outside. But they were alright.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The criicket was good - England beat Sri Lanka inside the distance but some good cricket was played by both sides. I had been to Chester-le-Street once before but it was over twenty years ago, so I was rather disappointed. And I don't think my friend was too impressed either! Back to Trent Bridge next year!
