Overview
For an old building with very limited funding access was good.
Transport & Parking
Free parking for those with a blue badge. There is a car park near the shop (disabled only). No public transport. Closest bus stop is in Borrowash.
Access
Depending on where you go paths can be muddy with puddles. Paths are not smooth, some areas have cobble stones. Grass is often saturated and inaccessible. The park has two trampers available though which you could either pay £25 a year for or pay £5.30 an hour (£20 refundable deposit...first hour free). The trampers are located outside the shop. Some areas are inaccessible due to steps or building works. Signs were okay but they could use more signs in larger print. Some paths had gates which weren't too heavy to open but they did have an awkward latch. First set of doors into cafe remained open. Second set of doors were closed. Both doors needed to be opened for my power chair go get through. Doors were manual and mildly heavy. Counter was not too high from a power chair. Card machine can be moved. Food and drinks can be brought to table. Shop doors were closed with no bell to request assistance, however doors were facing the tills so at least a member of staff could see you. Ramp into shop was steep. Could get round shop in power chair fairly easily.
Toilets
The disabled loo next to the shop was inaccessible to me due to building work. The disabled loo located in the cafe was too small too turn around in (mostly due to two bins). The toilet had white grab rails and so did the sink. Transfer was from the left. Near the entrance of the park there is a changing places toilet with changing table and hoist. There was enough space for a powered wheelchair and a carer. Toilet and sink had contrasting grab rails in navy. Transfer could be from left or right if didn't nee to use hoist. Radar key is required to access this toilet.

Anything else you wish to tell us?
Disabled loo in cafe needs the bins removing. 3 bins in one loo is excessive. Could use more signs to follow along paths so you know you're not lost.
