Overview
This is not a venue but a very accessible pathway with good surface, only slight gradients and lovely views along rivers and lakes. Beginning at the National Trust car park in Elterwater
Transport & Parking
Disabled parking space in the carpark. Still have to pay unless become a NT member. It was worth it for us to join and we got all the money back we had spent in NT car parks
Access
Good surface once get past the first part which is stone paving and somewhat uneven. Then a great path and about a mile to good views of waterfall by Skelwith Bridge. We didn't check out accessibility of the pubs at either end.
Toilets
Sorry didn't check the toilets but there are public loos just sure about access.
Staff
There was a very nice chap from the NT who told us about the route but he probably isn't there all the time
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Check out Miles Without Stiles for a list of 42 accessible walks. It describes 'walks for all ', which are suitable for self propelling wheelchair users , 'walks for some' and 'walks for many'.
