Overview
Really lovely garden, with reasonable access, though some paths rather narrow. No facilities, just the garden and nursery, but a great place for a visit of an hour. Lots of beautiful planting, quite informal gardens which allowed plants to really shine. All the plants were busy with several different types of bees. Lovely colours and clever planting ideas. Very peaceful there. In the nursery, the plants are reasonably priced, but can also be obtained by mail order online, only in the spring. Many unusual varieties available, and lovely to see them in their full glory in the garden. If you like plants and gardens, this is perfect place to come.
Transport & Parking
Drove. Sufficient car park space. No disabled spaces but these were not really needed.
Access
Fairly level throughout. Some seating on the lawn. A seat in the walled garden. Paths were gravel, not too bad to wheel on in the walled garden but harder work in the nursery.
Toilets
No toilets, but accessible toilet in Kirkcudbright harbour car park.
Staff
Only met one staff member, who was helpful but busy working.
