Historic ruin but wheelchair friendly
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid, Wheelchair, Powerchair, Mobility Scooter
Overview
It's a ruined cathedral designed long before wheelchairs but most of the ground floor is accessible. Covid safe with mirrors around dark corners and santiser available. Have to book in advance but we did that with the QR code outside the gate.
Transport & Parking
Walkable from city center with public transport. Parking close by.
Access
Mostly on grass with short gravel path. Fine in my power chair. Signage and interpretation boards all clear and easy to read.
Toilets
Didn't use them but they were there.
Staff
Helpful, friendly staff at entrance and an informative man dressed up as a bishop to explain more of the history associated with the site and the town.
