Overview
Despite numerous assurances to the contrary, the "disabled facilities" at this venue are laughable. Amenities for the able bodied are adequate but since January' 'big move' from BT Murrayfield disabled supporters seem to have become an afterthought! It's all very well 'bigging up' Myreside but get your infrastructure sorted out first!
Transport & Parking
Despite Edinburgh Rugby saying there would be ample disabled parking - there is not. We have to use the cricket club's car park which is too small and very poorly lit. Plus it is a fair treck to the ground - across a busy road too! It is on a bus route though.
Access
Access to the seats is pretty bad for those in chairs or unsteady on their feet, with uneven ground the main obstacle.
Toilets
I am told these do exist but they aren't obvious.
Staff
Except on the gate, they weren't much in evidence either - it would be an idea to have staff on the road crossing!
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Edinburgh Rugby moved grounds at the end of January, so this was my fourth visit - I held off writing a review till now to see if things improved, they did not! The so-called disabled seating is positioned so when it rains, we get wet - very wet.
