Overview

We wrongly assumed that in this day and age a huge venue like this would have a lift. Enquired on arrival where it was and simply told there was none. Elderly relative had to go town 6 flights of stairs. On every turn no handrail. Tried to use toilet halfway but no gents nor disabled there. Large area but no seat for a rest so had to keep going. Entrance to stalls dimly lit over more stairs with no handrail. Long walk downhill. Spent performance worrying about return journey up the way. After a struggle eventually reached ground level foyer. Asked only member of staff, who was flogging programmes , if there was a seat gent could rest on for a minute. Simply told no. Tried to phone venue to discuss this but phone just rang off after 2 rings with no message.
