Overview

The staff were as helpful and as patient as they could be but the fact remains there is NO LIFT to the stalls. I was told this is because it is a listed building and therefore not allowed to install one.

Transport & Parking

not nearly enough disabled parking access, have to constantly vie for space with taxis and coaches

Access

wheelchairs are well catered for at 'dress circle' level but not for stalls. I am on crutches and using the stairs is appallingly painful and slow for me. NO LIFT. I need to use the stalls because the leg room in the dress circle simply isn't enough

Toilets

Accessible toilet was great space but involved more stair climbing, as I am in constant pain this was a huge undertaking

Staff

staff were as kind and helpful and cheerful as they could possibly be but the only practical help they could give me was to allow me to use the 'side stairs' to leave by. These were at least devoid of other users so I was able to take my time and not worry about falling onto someone or being tripped up by someone else. However, it was still a very painful process. NO LIFT

Anything else you wish to tell us?

I fail to see why a grade listing should equate to NO LIFT. Lifts that are NOT attached to any part of the building structure are available and should be installed
