Overview
Taking a dander along Lothian Road I found that Festival Square and its big telly has had a makeover for the Festival.
Transport & Parking
Bus stops, with accessible buses, are nearby so it's only a short walk away. Parking on the other hand is a bit of non-starter in this part of town.
Access
The Square is playing host to a mixture of pop up stands, eating places, and children's play areas. The surface is level and you can wheel around easily and see most of the stands. Some might be trickier to get a closer view than others with wooden plinths obstructing full wheelchair access. It a quiet area away from much of the hustle and bustle if you're looking for a spot to relax. There are a couple of play areas ideal for younger children.
Toilets
There area toilet facilities in the Square but adjoining bars and venues may have accessible facilities.
Staff
There are plenty of folk around the stands who are happy to help.
