Overview
George Street has taken on a new look with the restaurants and bars moving into the street.
Transport & Parking
Limited on street parking due to one lane of the road being closed in places.
Access
Many of the eateries in George Street have created outside eating spaces for the festival. Raised wooden decking style platforms have been built with tables and chairs, large brollies and the odd oversize pot plant. It's a great feeling to be able to sit under the stars or the summer sun and dine or chat over a glass of wine. Unfortunately, the decking platforms don't have any wheelchair access so, if a wheelchair user like me, you'd best aim for the pop-up bar in the middle of the street. There are some temporary wheelchair ramps to help you get on to the road and into the bar.
Toilets
Conventional toilets have been built by the pop-up bar but no accessible loos.
