Overview

Champagne and cocktail bar situated in the Walkergate complex of Durham. The bar serves a selection of champagnes, cocktails, wine, beers and spirits. A food menu is also available serving light breakfasts, bar snacks, light lunches and afternoon teas. The entrance to the bar is wheelchair compatible with level access and two wide opening glass doors into the building. The bar is situated all on one level providing easy access around the whole venue for wheelchair users.

Transport & Parking

Parking is located in the Walkergate complex with access to the bar via staircases and a lift on each car park floor. The bar is situated on the top floor with the lift opening onto the top floor, with the bar being a mere 30ft straight in front of you.

Access

During the daytime tables and chairs are positioned around the bar within close proximity of one another. This could provide a potential problem for wheelchair users who wish to use a table, although tables and chairs can be easily moved to accommodate the customer's needs. There is a good amount of space surrounding the bar itself, althougteiresias bar is quite small and high. There is an opening to behind the bar which wheelchair users could use to interact with staff, although staff are more than happy to take orders from your table.

Toilets

There is one disabled toilet located at the back of the bar. Access to the toilet is clear with no obstructions. There are two grab rails positioned around the toilet. Both attached to the back wall on the right hand side (when facing the toilet). There is a cord hanging from the ceiling on the left hand side of the toilet (again, when facing it) for use as an alarm. The sink is low enough for easy access and it a reasonable sized toilet with a sufficient amount of space.

Staff

Staff are extremely friendly and willing to help will all orders and queries.
