The world's biggest Italian food store!
Visit date:
Overview
Eataly is the world's biggest Italian food store. The access is good throughout, and there are lots of restaurants to take a rest and enjoy a meal.
Transport & Parking
There is a Metro station immediately beside this superstore, and a large car park for customers. It's on a quiet road, so traffic isn't too busy and there are no major roads to cross.
Access
Wide aisles, smooth floors, good signage and large lifts are what makes this food store accessible! There are automatic doors at entrances and exits, and step-free access throughout. There are sloped escalators too which feel a bit funny at first - I preferred the elevators! All of the restaurants had plenty of space between the tables, and the chairs were all moveable to allow room for a wheelchair.
Toilets
Toilets were the only thing not well signposted, but I did spot them. Didn't use them as they were being cleaned when I was there, so can't comment much.
Staff
Staff at the restaurant we stopped at were very friendly, and it's all table service. The staff at the checkout also seemed polite, and they clearly take customer service seriously with a 'rate your experience' voting machine by the exit.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
It's a great store for stocking up on tasty Italian ingredients. There's a large wine department too.
