Overview
You do need to get the bus up to the cathedral, but it takes wheelchairs. Level access into the cathedral and ramps at many of the places where there are steps - though not all are possible, they didn't have disabled pilgrims in mind in the middle ages! The stewards were all incredibly helpful on making sure I could get where I needed and pointing the best way. The lift down to the toilets/cafe/shop wasn't working in the day we went, but we were shown a way round. There is a suggested donation, but entirely voluntary.
Transport & Parking
Take the 40a bus from outside the Radisson hotel (there are some on street free for 3 hours blue badge spaces and the bus takes wheelchairs)
