Overview

I stopped at Dundee City Square for a breather and enjoyed the view - but not much else. There's plenty of space to keep distance between other people, there are a couple of water fountains, the Desperate Dan statue just outside the square. It's a nice spot to take a coffee or sandwich, but watch out for Dundee's famous seagulls who will steal your food without hesitation, and sometimes aggressively!

Transport & Parking

3

The only parking at City Square is nearby off-street parking. There is a multi storey car park with good disabled parking bays at Overgate Shopping Centre, which is just a short walk / ride from the city square.

Access

4

Dundee's city square is entirely flat and accessed via a pedestrianised high street. The square sits opposite the Desperate Dan statue - a great photo opportunity for visitors - and is surrounded by buildings on three sides, including the local icon Caird Hall at the rear. There are steps up to Caird Hall as well as a good sized ramp. There are benches around the square with some water fountains too.

Toilets

2

No public toilets are near the city square, but there are excellent facilities at the nearby Overgate Shopping Centre.
