Overview
The park is next to New College Lanarkshire the rest of the area around the is residential with the railway line on the far away side from the road. There are a number of gates in to the park these are spaced out around the perimeter fence. The paths are a mixture of ash and tar and if you travel around the 4 sides it is 1 mile. The park is popular with walkers joggers and dog walkers.
Transport & Parking
There is a car park on the college side however this is normally busy during the day with students and staff. The car park has one way in one way out. Parking is allowed on Kildonan St however this is a very busy road for most of the day as it is part of the back road system between Coatbridge and Airdrie. There is a very poor bus service in the area,
Access
All of the gates are wide enough for a wheelchair or Scooter to in two of the gates have a small section of cobbles. The tar paths are good however the ash paths do have a lot of larger ruts on one side. While dog walkers are meant to pick up dog mess not all do There are a number of park benches on 3 sides of the park. none on the college side for some reason
Toilets
no toilets available
Staff
no staff in the park during visit however the local council North Lanarkshire are responsible for grass cutting etc. So do work in park at times.
