Overview
What a pleasure and a relief to know there is a Bakery in existence that’s prepared to be owned and run by locals for the better of the Community. The Dunbar Bakery makes and prepares a range of produce from pies, to breads and cakes. The guest bread was especially flavoursome and had that real taste and aroma from a homemade recipe. The shop is not large has a small step but enough wheelchair space, a real sense of local produce and for the community is evident here, the shop was busy when I visited full of locals and an obvious meeting point with a good chatterbox feel to it. The staff again entwined in the fabric and all that as going on, could not have been more friendly.
Transport & Parking
There is parking all the way along the High Street in Dunbar, the bus stops are within 1 min of the Bakery. The Railway Station 5 mins.
Access
A small but navigable step at the front door.
Toilets
Not applicable.
Staff
Could not fault them in anyway.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Similarly to a reveiw I did for the Royal Macintosh Hotel in Dunbar a great experience, there needs to be more innovative ideas like this. Would highly recommend visit here at anytime of the year and to support such a good enterprise.
