Overview

This is an excellent hotel with good accessible rooms with large walk/roll in showers and selection of dining options, a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly Main Line railway station. As a Hilton brand hotel it has a detailed accessibility pack. On the hotel's home page, in the left margin, scroll down to hotel information, click on hotel policies and then, in the accessibility section, click Hotel Accessibility pack to open the pdf. All Hilton hotels have this information and should be your first stop when checking accessible details for a specific hotel.

Transport & Parking

4

The hotel has its own underground car park with disabled bays close to the elevators. The entrance to the car park is in London Road and not immediately obvious. You have to check-in first, when you are then given an access code to the roller-shutter door. The car park is small so recommend you reserve disabled bay in advance. Short term 'drop off' parking outside the hotel entrance is also limited.

Access

5

Very easy access to all facilities. Some tables in restaurant not ideal for wheelchair users but staff very willing to help and other tables perfectly satisfactory.

Toilets

5

Only used toilets on ground floor but assume those on first and SkyLounge to the same excellent standard.

Staff

5

Looking for that extra mile? Go no further, staff all very friendly and more than willing to help. More than willing to answer questions about local attractions, special events and will seek out colleagues if they don't have the answers themselves.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Manchester is currently expanding its tram network and there are a LOT of road works. Access in and out of the city by car is slow. Once parked, leave your car and go by foot/wheelchair if you can, however, lots of bumpy paths, kerbs and so on, can be uncomfortable for wheelchairs.
