Overview
The hotel has some great accessibility features such as a wheelchair accessible room opened by a button, opposite reception (although it was pretty noisy in the morning), and wheelchair access from the entrance (albeit outside so I'm glad it wasn't raining). However, after being told that breakfast was downstairs when we arrived and that there was a lift, in the morning the concierge told us that we would not be able to go for breakfast as my wheelchair wouldn't fit in the lift. He said it was okay because they would provide a 'special service' and bring breakfast up to me in the lobby, which I found patronising to be honest. In reality, if it wasn't for my PA going up and down the stairs often to get breakfast items, I couldn't have eaten anything and absolutely hated sitting on my own whilst guests walked past looking at me. If you were segregated based on any other characteristic, there would've been an uproar. It was really disappointing.
