Overview
We had a two night stay here so we could visit family living in the area. The hotel is in the centre of Lincoln with views over the Branford wharf. Which had plenty of boats and birds on. It’s in a pedestrian area which also has plenty of restaurants to eat in and is only a short walk from the main shopping area. We had a fully accessible room which also had a wet room . There was plenty of room to move around both with the wheelchair if needed . The wet room had shower seat and plenty of grab rails. The on,y thing was I couldn’t reach any of the shampoo or shower gel as that’s fixed to the wall and not within reach. Access to the hotel is all flat and there are lifts up to the bedrooms and a separate lift up to the restaurant and bar from the ground floor. Both of these have views over the city or the wharf.
Transport & Parking
Parking isn’t easy there are no blue badge spaces and on,y parking for about 20-30 cars so unless your there early you would have to use a nearby Npc car park. The car park is not run by the hotel and there is a charge of £15 per night. The spaces and entrance are small so not easy to get a car in if you have a larger vehicle.
Access
Access to the hotel is all on one level. From the car park that the hotel has its just down a slight slope if using the npc car park it’s down the pedestrian walkway this car park is a few minutes walk away.
Toilets
Only used the toilet in the room this was fully accessible with grab rails
Staff
Staff were nice we sat ou on the balcony one morning over looking the wharf when a breeze got up a member of staff said they had blankets, they brought one out for me as I was starting to feel a bit cold.
