Overview
Don Beni is a traditional Italian restaurant on Eton High Street. The food is amazing, delicious, huge portions, freshly prepared to order. There is good access with a low, single step into the restaurant and then step free. I discovered it walking along the High Street on my way to a tour of Eton College, it stood out, as it was one of the few "step free" restaurants along the High Street and the sheer cuteness of the place, that I decided it was where I would eat after my visit. I was delighted with my choice.
Transport & Parking
The nearest train station is step free, Windsor and Eton Riverside, which is just across the bridge from Eton. Be aware that there are some building works on the High Street at present and one of these blocks the entirety of the pavement and provides no temporary ramps to cross to the opposite side. I also noticed a local bus number 15 bus going along the High Street. Its route is Slough to Eton Wick.
Access
There is a low, single step into the restaurant. The rest of the restaurant is step free and located on the ground floor. There are free standing tables and chairs.
Toilets
I'm not sure if their toilet is accessible as I did not use it.
Staff
Service was welcoming, friendly and very efficient. Food arrived hot and freshly made. Great service.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
This is a beautiful traditional Italian restaurant, with its red and white checked tablecloths, attractive décor, it has a homely and welcoming atmosphere. There's bread sticks to tuck into while you peruse the menu. I'm vegetarian and was spoil for choice with delicious menu. There are a nice selection of starters, pasta, pizza, meat and fish dishes and dessert (however, the portions were huge and I was too full to try pudding). One of the nicest Italian meals I've had for a while, everything was just perfect. Highly recommend and would love to return.
