Overview
Good wheelchair access throughout. This building also contains Job Centre Plus and Riverside Library.
Transport & Parking
Nearest bus station is 5 minute walk away. Derby Train Station is about 20 minutes walk away or you can get wheelchair accessible buses. There is a car park with is accessed via a barrier. The parking is not free for badge holders.
Access
There is a ramp up to the entrance. Doors are electric and open automatically. Throughout there are labelled accessible routes which are ramps. Lights are bright. Induction loops available. Library: there are lowered desks for computers with large print keyboards. Books are shelved at a decent height. Large print and audio books available. There is lowered counter at reception. Council house: lowered check in counter, phone & self payment machine. Did not see lowered computer though for accessing information. Chairs available throughout.
Toilets
On ground floor there is one small wheelchair accessible loo. Just enough space to turn around in a power chair. There is grab rails around toilet and sink with lowered hand dryer, mirror and hook. Accessed using a radar key. Toilet is left hand transfer but there is a large bin in the way. Male and female toilets have braille labels. There is also a changing places toilet.
