Overview
Great place to visit. This is a vineyard with extensive grounds. Plus two restaurants and a gift shop. Tours of the winery and various seasonal events and an exhibition area are there. The downstairs restaurant is a huge conservatory type building so is a great venue for bad weather trips - there is something nice about sitting indoors in the warm watching the rain/snow falling outside!
Transport & Parking
Plenty of disabled parking spaces right outside the venue plus space to drop people off at the entrance if necessary. There is a Land Rover tour of the vineyard (to the top of the hill with views) for those who have limited mobility.
Access
The restaurant, shop and toilets are all on the ground floor. There is a lift to the exhibition area and top restaurant. All areas are spacious except for perhaps the shop which is a little tight in places and can be busy.
Toilets
All on ground level - have not looked for/used any disabled toilet so cannot comment on this.
Staff
Never needed to ask for help so cannot comment but everyone seems to be helpful and there is a receptionist at the front entrance for any queries.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
There is a walk up the hill through the vineyard which is a tarmac/concrete road (used by the Land Rover) so it would be possible to take a mobility scooter although we have never tried that. Quite a climb so probably not suitable for a wheelchair.
