Overview
Beautiful and very well maintained forest area.
Transport & Parking
Plenty disabled parking spaces. Large parking bays. Easy to park. We parked at the main car park which has ANPR. You pay when you leave by entering your reg no. Disabled badge holders are given no concessions for parking. Charges are 1 hour £3. 2 hours and under £5. Over 2 hrs/all day £8. I feel parking is expensive for disabled visitors hence not giving five stars.
Access
Excellent cafe and outdoor eating area. All flat and automatic doors in and out of the cafe. We went on the Zog trail which was wheelchair accessible. A few bumpy areas (see terrain on photos) and some gradual inclines but manageable for someone pushing a manual wheelchair on a dry day. Would be easy using a Power Chair. Didn’t check out any of the other trails on this visit.
Toilets
Good disabled toilet with enough space to manoeuvre and grab rails. We saw a changing places but didn’t go in so can’t comment on that.
Staff
Helpful and cheerful chap at the information office.
