This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair
Overview
This is a terrific place for all ages. As the point is to get under the water slopes are involved. It can be done in a wheelchair, but quite a lot of uphill pushing is needed.
Transport & Parking
The parking is near the slope down to the venue but there are quite big kerbs in the car park and only one ramp that I saw. The disabled parking could be nearer to the entrance.
Access
Efforts have been made to make the slope as gradual as is reasonable, with flat 'recovery' areas for the wheelchair pusher. There is also a powered walkway from which sharks, rays etc can be viewed. If your mobility is impaired this is a tough one; if in a wheelchair, get someone able-bodied to push you. A younger lady helped us.
Toilets
Not needed
Staff
Really friendly and helpful. Idea: when they see someone in a wheelchair and a not-so-young pusher, one of them might push the chair up to the car park, which is the only really difficult one.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
We had a wonderful time and so did our granddaughter. I do not mean this review to be negative.
