Overview
Being a volunteer at the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity shop in Shrewsbury’s Darwin shopping centre, I have needed to use the disabled toilet in the Centre. They have to keep it locked to prevent misuse , but when I called the phone number on the door for someone to come and unlock it; they were there in about 1 min! So that was good.. As the one toilet was occupied, the attendant allowed me into the large changing station room. What a fantastic facility, tracking hoist, shower facility, and even an electronic height adjustable sink ! The room was spotless and I was very pleased to see that such a facility is available to anyone requiring this. I’m not sure if it’s commonly known that this is available.
Transport & Parking
There are several car parks close by and some disabled spaces reasonably near by
Access
The centre is all accessible as one would expect
Toilets
The one disabled toilet is a bit small but there is a large changing station room with full facilities, shower, hoist etc
Staff
You have to phone the number on the toilet door, but to be fair they were there in about a minute!
