Overview
I had paid for a 5-day break with Shearings, that was supposed to include a hotel stay in Liverpool but the Liverpool hotel had overbooked, so Shearings moved everyone to a hotel in Warrington, also owned by the Britannia Group. Not quite the same as a stay in Liverpool but I was willing to accept the change. Unfortunately, however, Shearings rang the Daresbury on my behalf to check on disability provision and it turned out that although the hotel has rooms with shower cubicles as well as disabled rooms they would not guarantee me a suitable room. I have learnt from bitter experience that if I don't have suitable provision, namely a shower rather than a bath, and a raised toilet seat I am in difficulties. I may, for instance, be able to climb into a bath if there is something to hold onto, but am put at an increased risk of falling. So I was obliged to cancel the break. In other words, I can't go.

Access
Well, the hotel has disabled rooms, but I found out they won't pre-allocate one to a disabled person.
Toilets
Staff
Unhelpful and lacking disabled awareness.
