Overview
Traditional tea rooms open from morning and serving light lunches, snacks, afternoon tea and lovely selection of home made cakes. Food is ordered at the counter and food/ drink is brought to your table.
Transport & Parking
Daisy's Tea Rooms are located a 5 minute level walk from Dawlish train station. There is step free access to platform 2, with trains heading towards Exeter/ London. Platform 1 with trains towards Paignton/ Torquay is accessible via a railway bridge with stairs only. However through Special Assistance they can arrange and accompany you to cross the railway line. I found the special assistance excellent at Dawlish Station. There are step free, local buses that stop close by.
Access
There is one step from the street into the cafe and there is a grab rail on the right hand side. Inside there are free standing tables and chairs.
Toilets
I'm sorry I did check when I visited. There is a public, radar key, accessible toilet 2 minutes walk away.
Staff
Staff were really lovely and friendly. When I returned they remembered me from earlier in the week.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I visited twice during my short holiday as I loved it so much. The cafe is very welcoming and relaxing. There are large picture windows that look out onto the gardens and brook. At the counter there is a tempting selection of home made cakes. They serve afternoon tea and this does not need to be pre-ordered. When I go back to Dawlish I will return to Daisy's.
