Overview
Culmore bridge holiday cottages sit next to the village of Sandhead and about 6 miles from the beautiful holiday village of Portpatrick. There are 4 specially adapted cottages although one was one a long term rent. All cottages have great disabled access with shower rooms, toilets and a bedroom with with a profile bed. The cottages all have great living space. There are also good wheelchair access paths throughout the grounds and even a path that leafs down to Sandheaf beach about 1 mile away.
Transport & Parking
Great parking throughout.
Access
Toilets
The disabled Loo's are very good you have to be careful not to flood the toilet with the shower and a clos o mat toilet would be an improvement. Also the cottages have a 2nd bathroom and toilet.
Staff
Run by the owners Jacqui and John they try to make sure your stay is comfortable and your needs are met.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The surrounding area is beautiful, with Portpatrick, Port Logan, Stranraer all with in a short car drive. The disabled facilities in Portpatrick are not great although it is a smashing walk around the harbour, we found that the Golf club had a great welcome and disabled toilets. The food in Portpatrick is generally of a very high standard but don't expect to easily use the toilets with a wheelchair. Galloway is fantastic but you need to drive quite a bit. The Galloway lighthouse has remarkable access and a great cafe. The views are some of the best in Scotland.
