Overview

We visited with the family (2 teenagers, 2 adults including 1 powered chair user). Close to a road and next to a barn so you will need to be able to cope with the smell of the country when outside. Near Edinburgh and Glasgow but the surrounding countryside is nice. Pleasant visit to Peebles.

Transport & Parking

Parking good and close. No experience of public transport.

Access

Didn't see any signage or Braille. Kitchen is inaccessible to a larger powered chair. I think a manual chair would be OK. My daughter used the upstairs bedroom. Everything else is on the ground floor. A large chair would have to reverse from the bedroom to the living room to turn.

Toilets

There was a wet room with a loo but didn't use the loo so can't comment on grab rails. Small wet room, so think anyone needing a large chair and another person would have difficulty. Provided with a shower chair but not a commode seat or footplates so check if you need these.

Staff

No carers or cleaners. Landlady, G, nice and helpful.
