Overview
We stopped here on our way home from holiday. Having visited the venue before we knew it was accessible. Although the pub doesn’t have a car park . You either have to park on the road or in the main town car park. Access into the pub is good it’s all on one level. Once inside there’s plenty of room for the wheelchair. They also have a garden out the back which is also accessible via a lift. As it was a warm evening we chose to sit outside. The menu is large and varied, as it’s part of the Wetherspoons chain. The food was ok although parts of my gammon steak were so crispy you couldn’t eat it. But given the meals aren’t expensive you don’t expect top quality food .although I did think it would be better than I had. My husbands meal of steak and chips was ok although it didn’t come with peas etc. It really was just a steak and chips. We’ve eaten here before and often found it a bit hit and miss on the food front, staff are helpful, we would go back but would choose our meals carefully .
Transport & Parking
Parking is either on the road side by the pub or in the main town car park about a 10 min walk from the pub.
Access
Access is good is all on one level , they even have a lift taking you up to the garden which is great. There’s room to get around with the wheelchair, as the grass in the garden is artificial.
Toilets
They do have accessible toilets but these were not used.
Staff
Staff were helpful and service was quick
Anything else you wish to tell us?
