Accessible wheel along the coast
Visit date:

Overview
In my powerchair enjoyed a lovely roll along the coastal path from Craster to the base of Dunstanburgh castle. The track up to the castle was too bumpy but more able people could walk the last little bit. It was dry so on the few section where the path was too bumpy or muddy it was easy to pass on the wide grass areas. There were a few gates to get through but all were wide enough for easy access.
Transport & Parking
Easy parking at the tourist information centre just inland from the village. 3 blue badge spaces and electric car charger points for 2.
Access
Most of the paths were sandy mud (which doesn't sound good but it looked quick draining and was dry so it was like tarmac) or gravel. I also wheeled along the grass in some places which were higher than the path so gave better views of the seashore.
Toilets
Radar key toilets at car park.
Staff
