Overview
Located on the edge of the town beside The Dukes golf course , this is a gem if you want to spend a few peaceful hours in beautiful gardens with good facilities. Lots of kids activities too although some are chargeable. Access is great with mostly tarmac paths all round.
Transport & Parking
Realistically , you will need a car to get there although there is an infrequent bus service, but there are an adequate number of disabled bays right at the entrance.
Access
Tarmac paths mostly with some stretches fine gravel but all of it good wheelchair and scooter surface.
Toilets
Located beside the café and picnic area but there are also loos in a block in the middle of the park.
Staff
Those we spoke to were very helpful and friendly.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Entrance is free as is the parking for all , only some kids activities are chargeable. Most important , if you want somewhere to spend a few hours in peace and quiet going round the beautiful gardens and grab a coffee or light meal in the café on a nice day then this is a bit of a hidden gem.
