Overview
This 1.37 mile walk is smooth tarmac most of the way, and modest gradients all the way. It only misses out on 5 stars because of a more bumpy stretch of 0.2 miles between Silverknowes Midway and Davidson's Mains - manageable in a wheelchair, though there's a short very bumpy section where the path joins the Tesco Metro car park at Davidson's Mains.
Transport & Parking
Shopper's Parking at Craigleith Retail Park. Can't comment on the parking in Davidson's Mains. Craigleith Retail Park is served by Lothian Bus 38 from the Royal Infirmary via the south side and Balgreen (not at weekends, when you need to alight at the Holiday Inn - see below) . Lothian Buses 41, 42 & 43 connect the city centre with Queensferry Road - get off at the Holiday Inn and you'll be close to the start of the walk, which is just down South Groathill Avenue. From Davidson's Mains Lothian Buses 41 & 42 go back to the city centre.
Access
See above. This walk is a good extension to the Roseburn Path walk described in another review. For all but 0.2 miles of the route this is a good tarmac path with very modest gradients. If you don't fancy the non-tarmac stretch from Silverknowes Midway and Davidson's Mains, you can leave the path at Silverknowes Midway close to a bus stop from which Lothian bus 29 will get you back to the city centre via Stockbridge. The photo was taken from the end of the walk in the Tesco car park at Davidson's Mains, looking back along the non-tarmac section of the walk.
Toilets
There are good accessible toilets in some of the shops at Craigleith Retail Park. Can't comment on Davidson's Mains.

Anything else you wish to tell us?
This is a cycle route as well as a footpath. The great majority of cyclists are considerate towards wheelchair users, but sadly a few are not.
