Excluded from access

Overview
A fabulous abandoned harbour, visited before I lost my mobility but knew my scooter would get me there. Parking at the top of the hill no problem. There is a 5 bar gate which is locked and a kissing gate which won't accommodate a wheelchair or a scooter. There were people lifting pushchairs over. Husband walked down and said I could definitely access if it wasn't for the gates. I e-mailed the charity that owns the land pointing out the problems and asking if they could consider adaptations. The polite but curt reply was that they purposely didn't provide disabled access as after working with the local compliance officer it was decided it was not in the users best interest and informing me there were other places nearby! Nothing like exclusion! Such a shame because it's a beautiful place.
Transport & Parking
Good car park and bus service.
