Overview
A beautiful house that still has the feel of a family home.
Transport & Parking
Parking is a little distance from the house but the floor is part pea shingle and then onto tarmac. The little bridge leading from the car park does have a footpath but its probably not wide enough for a wheelchair or scooter so you do have to use the road. Once past the bridge the paths are either pea shingle, grass or tarmac.
Access
The ground floor of the house is accessible and the staff are very helpful. The upper floors are accessed by spiral staircases. The café is accessible into the covered outer area but there is a step in and not much space but the outside space was fine. The walled gardens are accessible. There are walks here too but I didn't do them so cant say how accessible they are.
Toilets
There is an accessible loo outside. Its clean, relatively spacious and has grab bars and an alarm. The drawback is that when you enter the loo the first room is for baby changing and breastfeeding mums and they can lock the door so in that instance you would not be able to access the disabled loo at all .
Staff
As always the staff are faultless. helpful, knowledgabe and professional and they are keen to make sure everyone gets to see as much as possible.
