Overview
I have a severely disabled son in a wheelchair and also a sin with severe autism. We love going here so must review it for everyone....but there are wheelchair access issues. Staff are excellent.
Transport & Parking
There are disabled spaces at the top of the car park very near the entrance. Our big vehicle and tail lift were fine. It is though although firm a bit muddy/gravelly (like you may expect from a farm I guess)
Access
It's really hard here but the truth is is that you can get in fine and there are good paths to the main barns. But from there it is gravel paths and pushing my son is hard work...if you are self propelling I would not recommend.
Toilets
Staff
Can fault the staff at all. They made sure my disabled son had his turn with the animals with patience and care. They were also good with my autistic son and there is plenty to keep him busy! I also asked for help with lunch and they did find me a suitable table, do note the cafe is popular and busy (and buy the sausages!!)
Anything else you wish to tell us?
If you are taking disabled children and don't mind a bit of hefty pushing and some grubby wheels it is a super place. The bouncing pillows i carried my son in to. It's not the most wheelchair friendly place we go to but we keep going back as the animals and staff are lovely.
