Overview
Reasonable wheelchair access but requires improvement.
Transport & Parking
There are two pay and display car parks to the town centre. Albion centre car park is closest with free parking for badge holders in designated bays. I find these bays are often full. The second car park (Pimlico Street) is usually emptier but further to walk. If you need to access mobility equipment shopmobility is located close to Erewash Museum and there is a car park for members. It is only open Thursday and Saturday (9am to 2:30pm). There is a form to complete to become a member. Bus stops are either up or down a hill.
Access
Ramp to door is steep which makes the doors even harder to open. I can open most doors independently from my power chair but these doors were impossible without assistance. There is no lowered counter at the till either. There was enough floor space to get around and tables were awkward as they had a pole in the middle. I find the mugs they use really heavy and awkward to hold due to handle so I'd ask for the smallest size or cardboard cup if you are especially weak. They may do straws but they usually paper and disintegrate in hot drinks in my opinion.
Toilets
Toilet had a self closing door which made it more awkward than it had to be. Toilet was right sided transfer with grab rails (navy) around toilet and sink. There was a lowered hook but a giant bin next to toilet in transfer space due to also being a baby changing facility. You'd struggle to fit two people and a wheelchair in this loo.
Staff
They'll bring food and drinks to your table.
