Overview
Great team, highly accomodating, money well spent and staff helped us enjoy our visit.
Transport & Parking
We had tickets for the day after we arrived in Cornwall. However, I was having a terrible day after a bad night's sleep and they were great, allowing us to come whenever I was up to it. After lots of rest that day we went early the next. Upon arrival, the disabled parking at the front is not all that plentiful so get there early. But there are staff on hand if needed.
Access
I took my rollator as I am unable to stand for long. The staff were amazing, directing us to the shuttle bus (golf cart,) the driver was helpful and although some parts of the Sanctuary are on an uphill path, I didn't find it too troubling. The main area is fairly well organised with enough room so despite the heat, you still had space. There were seals, penguins, sea lions and beavers.
Toilets
There are 3 sets of toilets I used (long, hot day & I was driving back!.) The ones in reception on the way out were the cleanest and most well maintained, emergency cord in place, the ones by the Seal hospital were okay, cord present and correct. There was a portaloo - which lets just say needs must.
Staff
Everyone was terrific! A bunch of stars. From the chap who checked our tickets, the people who helped find our idiot teenagers, and the man in the gift shop who looked after my things while I was still browsing. Couldn't have hoped for better!
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I first visited as a child and this lived up to all my memories. Go and visit the beavers too. It adds to the day! The lunch was reasonable and the kids once located, had a great day out. Tiring, lots of walking but worth it.
