Overview
There is free disabled parking outside the entrance. There is level access to the changing rooms but only 1 disabled changing cubicle. This was occupied during our visit so we used one of the many baby change cubicles instead. Thankfully we were able to do this as we didn't need the wheelchair on this visit. The changing and shower areas were filthy and hadn’t been cleaned for some time. The pool itself looked better but was so overcrowded, there wasn’t much room to actually swim at all. The pool was cold and the ‘hot tub’ was not any warmer. It was far too busy and far too loud. After 15 minutes of being crashed into and kicked. I got out again and sat in the ‘cafe’. Although I couldn’t get any food or drink as it was shut. There is a lift up to the cafe area. The children stayed in the pool and seemed to enjoy the slides etc though also struggled with the busyness of it all and had long queues for each slide. The slides and flumes were not accessible to people with physical disabilities as there are no lifts or ramps. Just flights of stairs. The hot tub was also up steps and then a ladder down into it. The main pool itself also has steps into it. There was no hoist available on the day of our visit.
