Overview
A fantastic venue where you can camp out, sleep in an accessible nordic kata or do an activity. Also, have to mention the fabulous food in the cafe!
Transport & Parking
I drove and there is an accessible parking bay close to the entrance of the reception and cafe.
Access
Access in and around the centre was great. The surface is gravel, but I managed to get around in my manual wheelchair with no problems at all. there is a ramp going to the reception which is perfect, but the ramp leading to the cafe is a little steep. There is a seating area for the cafe which is accessible from the reception area though. The accessible Kata was perfect for my needs.
Toilets
There is an accessible loo at the Kata which was ideal for me. It has been raised slightly to make it easier to get on and off the loo.
Staff
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout my visit. I got a tour around the accessible Kata and was very impressed. The staff in the cafe were also very friendly and gave suggestions for food etc.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I will certainly be visiting again. One thing to note though, the cafe only accepts cash, so take plenty as the cakes look wonderful!
