Busy Metro station right outside the Colosseum

Overview
Very convenient Metro station a stone's throw from the Colosseum. This does mean that it's very busy however, but it has done well with ramped access, stair lifts and Braille information. Unfortunately I didn't see a lift at this station which is why it has lost stars. It isn't a modern Metro station, so unlike Rome's newest stations on Line C, this one is not particularly wheelchair friendly. Wheelchair users could use the small stair lift if they wanted to access this station, but it isn't suited to larger sized wheelchairs or powerchairs.
Transport & Parking
It's a handy transport station, and taxis will be able to drop you off on the road immediately outside. The area is generally buzzing with tourists however, so expect crowds as you approach the entrance.
Access
Apart from being busy, access was okay. There was a Braille and touch map guide to the station, clear signage, a ramp up to the entrance and a stair lift down to the platform. There was an accessible loo on the way down to the platform. The lack of elevator access is what caused me to drop stars from this station unfortunately. The stair lift does not require wheelchair users to transfer to a seat as it is a roll on platform lift; but it isn't exceptionally large so may not be suited to all powerchair sizes.
Toilets
I passed a large accessible loo on the landing of the stairs. However due to its location, it is not particularly accessible as wheelchair users would need to use the stair lift to access it, and it wasn't the largest of stair lifts.
Staff
I didn't interact with any staff at this station.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
There are also shops inside this station which are accessible to wheelchair users. Good place to grab a water after visiting the Colosseum.
