Luxury, turf roofed lodges with far reaching views

Overview
Ironically these lodges were not designed specifically to be wheelchair accessible yet they work perfectly. Level access throughout with spacious design the areas flow well. Even the bathroom with roll in shower was a success with my quite chunky shower chair. There is not wheelchair access to the sauna, the small wc and the kitchen has not been designed for a wheelchair user wishing to cook. The lodge is perched up high with the most stunning scenery, outside seating, outside roll top bath (not accessible) and the tranquility is breath taking. The views are out of this world!
Transport & Parking
Driving up hill for 10 minutes up a winding, uneven track and then a single track farm road mean a car is essential. The gravel car parking is manageable but far from ideal - thankfully you can park adjacent to some hard standing about 2m from the door.
Access
The hard floors throughout, extra wide doors both internally and final exit with level thresholds, the riven paving around the building make it ideal for those with reduced mobility or even wheelchair users. The only internal corridor is extra extra wide.
Toilets
Both ensuite shower/bathrooms have excellent access. My large shower chair easily fitted into the wet room enclosure and over the wc. The basins were good height with good clearance underneath.
Staff
This is a self catering lodge but the house keeper and owner bent over backwards to support our reservation before we booked and during our stay
