Overview
We stopped here for lunch while visiting aviemore, the cafe has a few bench tables outside which we sat at, as it was a sunny day. It also has seating inside but as there’s a step up, (only a few inches) I was unable to get inside as I didn’t have my crutches with me . I would have managed with help had I had these. The menu is varied with something for everyone. We had cheese and tomato toastie which came with either salad or crisps , a hot drink and scone with jam . The scone was warm and light . The staff were nice and friendly. We looked at going back on the Monday for another scone but unfortunately the cafe was closed. The food was good especially the scone. Would eat here again when visiting the area.
Transport & Parking
The cafe is set in an area where there are other shops and there is a small amount of parking in front of these shops, but no blue badge parking spaces. For these you need to use the main car park. As we were staying in aviemore we left the car at the hotel and I just went down in my scooter to the town.
Access
Access was ok if you were sitting outside, but no ramp up the one step of about a few inches. I would have managed to get inside had I had my crutches with me but would have needed help from my husband. Inside the cafe there’s not a huge amount of space so getting round wouldn’t be easy unless you can fold the wheelchair or walk.
Toilets
Staff
The waitress who served us was friendly and brought everything to our table for us.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
Each outside table had hand sanitizer on , all cutlery was pre wrapped. Service was quick and food was good and served with a smile. We noticed that quite a lot of local people also ate there, as the waitress chatted with them. Always a good sign if locals use the establishment.
